| Honor Guard |

| The police department's Honor Guard is made up of police officers from all three divisions who volunteer to represent the agency at formal and solemn occasions. Members of the Santa Clara Fire Department also participate in a combined Police-Fire Honor Guard for special City events. |

| The Honor Guard represents both departments at events such as |
| groundbreaking ceremonies as well as events such as the Veterans Memorial and the July 4th All City Picnic. |
| |
| The Honor Guard members also attend the funerals of police officers that were killed in the line of duty and the Peace Officers Memorial Tribute in Sacramento that is held in May of every year. |
